I too had this issue with my ipad. Googled a lot and found many sites including Quora with different answers but issue was not resolved. Later in one of the sites they have mentioned something with the DNS in the router, and tried it out and the result was fantastic. Don’t try to disable the javascript as most of the websites won’t work properly without javascript.

Its not a virus/cache issue, but a simple issue with the DNS configured in your modem/router.

What I’ve done is, made a change in the primary DNS to those of google, which is 8.8.8.8 Before it was some different IP stored, don’t know

30x redirection is a fundamental behavior of http - and I don’t think you want to disable it. Your browsing experience would be fragmented and unpleasant. It is often desirable to be aware of what’s happening, though — and that is pretty simple.

We used to use a very simple trick to see where advertisement ‘clicks’ were going prior to redirection: when you’re looking at the ad, unplug your network cable, then click it. You’ll see the first ‘hop’ in your address bar rather than the final destination.

We used to use a very simple trick to see where advertisement ‘clicks’ were going prior to redirection: when you’re looking at the ad, unplug your network cable, then click it. You’ll see the first ‘hop’ in your address bar rather than the final destination.

You probably want more than that, though. I’ve used a variety of browser plug-ins that monitor and report on all redirects and other requests underlying your browsing experience. Right now I’m using one called “Live HTTP Headers” and it seems fine. It will show you all the requests your browser has made, as well as the 30x’s and other responses you received with all of their details (including the redirected location).

Good luck!

UPDATE: I was thinking about this instead of paying attention in some meetings this morning, and was able to track down a way to do what you want in FireFox:

  • Navigate to Firefox settings “about:config” in the address bar
  • Scroll down to network.http.redirection.limit
  • Edit this value and set it to “0” (zero) - [OK]

I tested it and it will indeed disable all redirects, and — as expected — render your browsing experience a fractured nightmare. I still recommend monitoring over disabling.

This technique shamelessly stolen from user “Omnibrain” at SuperUser.com.

Dagnabbit. I guess I need to read the question more carefully. None of this helps you in Chrome/Safari on your iPad at all. Sorry. I’m going to leave this answer as a reminder to myself to read the question more carefully. :-(

Some websites are made to redirect to an App Store URL. The iOS device will recognize that such links are better viewed on the native App Store app rather than the browser. T shouldn't be a problem since iOS 9 where there's a quick shortcut on your top left corner to return to which app you come from.

This is the Oauth process that Shopify requires for public apps. Its a multi-step process in which the app first gets a temporary token, then exchanges that for a permanent token to use going forward. This process is required by Shopify in order to authenticate new apps into a users store, so its not something you can manipulate.

This search engine can reveal so much. Click here to enter any name, wait for it, brace yourself.

When you say redirecting to App Store and other website, what do you mean? what is redirecting you to the App Store and what is the website you're talking about?
I've only seen that activity when you tap on an ad for an app.
Have you checked the app store for updates?

I’m not sure what you mean. If the URL is redirecting your site to a different URL, the original URL before the redirect is the one you entered already.

What are you trying to find?

Profile photo for Harry Thompson

Hi,

If you are talking about the iTunes URL you use to point people to your App then no it does not change if you increment the version. The urls are also tied to the bundle id so unless a bundle id changes (therefore a new app) then the URL will always remain the same.

Hope that helps.

Profile photo for Tan Zhong Hong

Yes it is possible and there are specific use cases that requires this - for example during development of the app and apps used internally in an organization.

In both cases you need to explicitly tell your device to trust the provider of the app (via provision profiles). The risks and limitations in the other answers do apply too.

If this is suitable for you, then yes you can craft a plain old hyperlink for the user to install the app from a website. Look into adhoc distribution and enterprise distribution if you are interested.

Profile photo for Josh Osborne

Whatever set of bird passes review is the set of bits you are allowed to put in the App Store, so if you send something with test code or settings you don't get to change those before you put it on the store.

(Of corse if you make a mistake and send something in for review and later realize the mistake you can cancel the review, or if the review is complete just decline to put it up for sale)

Profile photo for Vishnu Suresh

All App Store apps published are public and can be seen by anyone who does a search by the app name or linked via any other sources.

For your requirement, it is better to do an Enterprise Distribution of your app so that it can be installed only by the people whom you send the link to the app (hosted on your web server). But for that you have to use an Enterprise Developer account which costs more than the normal developer account.

Profile photo for Alex Briere

I’m also not exactly sure what you are looking for, but I think you might be looking for one of those two things:

  1. If you’re looking for the final destination of a redirect link before clicking on it, use this free tool
  2. If you’re looking to find a specific URL that is being redirected to another URL and you can’t see it because it redirects too quickly, simply go in your Internet browser’s history and find the URL from there

I hope that helps

There is no need to make a firewall for the App Store on an iPhone. So it’s unclear why you would ask such a question.

Profile photo for Matt Schrage

If you upload an iOS app, wait for it to be reviewed and approved, but then set the availability date to some point in the future, you can send you promo codes which allow anyone to download the app!

I'd suggest you probably want to use something like http://hockeyapp.net/features/ to distribute instead.

Hi,

Apple's iOS and iPadOS are much more tightly locked down than Android—Apple simply doesn't make it possible to sideload apps on its mobile operating systems in the same way that you can with Android.

Yes - they should use production URLs.

Sandbox should be used only for testing purposes with testing accounts. When app is ready you should use only production URLs for checking receipts.
