Demandware is presented as an example of a company
that leveraged it‟s SaaS technology disruption with a
fundamentally different business model to it‟s
competitors, creating partners out of it‟s customers with
               a shared success model.

• other factors discussed under “Risk Factors ” and “Management‟s Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations” in periodic filings with the
Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”).
In addition, in this presentation, the words “believe,” “may,” “will,” “estimate,” “continue,” “anticipate,” “intend,” “expect,” “predict,” “potential” and similar expressions, as they

New Approaches to Business Model Innovation by The Garage Group, has 29 slides with 18501 views. This is the deck from a talk we gave on New Approaches to Business Model Innovation at the Product Development Management Association (PDMA) Summer Innovation Event in Detroit Michigan. Many organizations focus on driving innovation through new products and services. While these are productive and profitable sources of innovation, organizations that consider innovating against a broader definition of their business model -- including not only WHAT they sell, but also HOW their business operates and delivers value, will find new opportunities to drive top and bottom line growth and ensure that they stay relevant in an increasingly turbulent marketplace. In this presentation, The Garage Group introduces practical frameworks and exercises to enable Business Model Innovation: ● The “What/How” framework, which can be used to map and plan business model innovation within any organization. ● Examples from multiple industries to inspire Innovation across unexpected elements of organizations’ business models. ● A templated exercise to capture multiple elements of your organization’s business model which could be prime for innovation. The Garage Group is a new kind of strategy firm building entrepreneurial processes and capabilities for innovation.

Business Model Innovation By H Chesbrough by Nicolò Borghi, has 39 slides with 17177 views. This document discusses business model innovation and open innovation. It begins by describing the traditional closed innovation system used by many companies. It then introduces the concept of open innovation, which uses both internal and external sources to create and capture value. The document argues that a better business model is more important than better technology alone. It provides examples of companies like IBM and Ryanair that have innovated their business models to be more open and capture more value. Finally, it provides a definition of a business model and discusses stages of business model maturity.

Who says paper is dead? Business model innovation in the media industry by Patrick Stähler, has 43 slides with 27865 views. The presentation is all about the need for innovative business models in print as well as online for the so-called content industry like newspaper. A mere transformation of the classical print model to online does not work since the revenue sources did not follow and the approach to serve all users with a broad spectrum of content does not work on the web since longtail publishers will always beat you on certain topics.

Automated Engineering of Domain-Specific Metamorphic Testing Environments by Pablo Gómez Abajo, has 63 slides with 127 views.Context. Testing is essential to improve the correctness of software systems. Metamorphic testing (MT) is an approach especially suited when the system under test lacks oracles, or they are expensive to compute. However, building an MT environment for a particular domain (e.g., cloud simulation, model transformation, machine learning) requires substantial effort. Objective. Our goal is to facilitate the construction of MT environments for specific domains. Method. We propose a model-driven engineering approach to automate the construction of MT environments. Starting from a meta-model capturing the domain concepts, and a description of the domain execution environment, our approach produces an MT environment featuring comprehensive support for the MT process. This includes the definition of domain-specific metamorphic relations, their evaluation, detailed reporting of the testing results, and the automated search-based generation of follow-up test cases. Results. Our method is supported by an extensible platform for Eclipse, called Gotten. We demonstrate its effectiveness by creating an MT environment for simulation-based testing of data centres and comparing with existing tools; its suitability to conduct MT processes by replicating previous experiments; and its generality by building another MT environment for video streaming APIs. Conclusion. Gotten is the first platform targeted at reducing the development effort of domain-specific MT environments. The environments created with Gotten facilitate the specification of metamorphic relations, their evaluation, and the generation of new test cases.

TrustArc Webinar - Data Privacy and Cyber Security: A Symbiotic Relationship by TrustArc, has 12 slides with 113 views. In today’s digital age, data has become an organization’s lifeblood. As the use of digital technologies continues to escalate, so do the risks associated with personal data, which continue to grow exponentially as well. To effectively safeguard personal and sensitive information, organizations must understand the intricate relationship between data privacy, cybersecurity, and incident response. Data privacy and cybersecurity are two sides of the same coin. Data privacy focuses on how personal data is to be collected, used, stored, shared and controlled, while cybersecurity aims to protect systems and networks from unauthorized access, digital attacks, malware and data breaches. However, even with the best data privacy and security measures in place, cyber incidents can still occur. A well-prepared incident response plan is crucial for minimizing the impact of a breach and restoring normal operations. Join our experts on this webinar to discuss how data privacy, cybersecurity, and incident response interact and are essential for safeguarding your organization’s digital assets. This webinar will review: - How data privacy and cybersecurity intersect - How to develop a comprehensive privacy and security strategy to safeguard personal and sensitive information - What are suggestions and expectations around incident response

AI Driven Posture Analysis Fall Detection System for the Elderly.pdf by Patrick Ogbuitepu, has 53 slides with 21 views. This project introduces an innovative, cost-effective solution for real-time activity monitoring of elderly individuals. By leveraging the MediaPipe pose estimation model, fuzzy logic, and finite state machines, the system can reliably track individuals, recognize static postures (standing, sitting, lying), and detect transitions, particularly focusing on falls. A key achievement is the system’s zero false alarm rate, a significant advancement in vision-based fall detection systems. While the system shows promise, it faces limitations in scenarios with severe occlusions or low lighting conditions. To address these challenges, future work will explore the use of multi-camera setups, interactive calibration modes, and audio feedback to enhance accuracy and user experience. This prototype represents a significant step towards reliable, real-time elder care. By combining advanced AI techniques with practical considerations, this system offers a scalable and effective solution to a pressing societal need.

Automating Behavior-Driven Development: Boosting Productivity with Template-D... by DOCOMO Innovations, Inc., has 122 slides with 89 views.https://bit.ly/4ciP3mZ We have successfully established our development process for Drupal custom modules, including automated testing using PHPUnit, all managed through our own GitLab CI/CD pipeline. This setup mirrors the automated testing process used by Drupal.org, which was our goal to emulate. Building on this success, we have taken the next step by learning Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Behat. This approach allows us to automate the execution of acceptance tests for our Cloud Orchestration modules. Our upcoming session will provide a thorough explanation of the practical application of Behat, demonstrating how to effectively use this tool to write and execute comprehensive test scenarios. In this session, we will cover: 1. Introduction to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): - Understanding the principles of BDD and its advantages in the software development lifecycle. - How BDD aligns with agile methodologies and enhances collaboration between developers, testers, and stakeholders. 2. Overview of Behat: - Introduction to Behat as a testing framework for BDD. - Key features of Behat and its integration with other tools and platforms. 3. Automating Acceptance Tests: - Running Behat tests in our GitLab CI/CD pipeline. - Techniques for ensuring that automated tests are reliable and maintainable. - Strategies for continuous improvement and scaling the test suite. 4. Template-Based Test Scenario Reusability: - How to create reusable test scenario templates in Behat. - Methods for parameterizing test scenarios to enhance reusability and reduce redundancy. - Practical examples of how to implement and manage these templates within your testing framework. By the end of the session, attendees will have a comprehensive understanding of how to leverage Behat for BDD in their own projects, particularly within the context of Drupal and cloud orchestration. They will gain practical knowledge on writing and running automated acceptance tests, ultimately enhancing the quality and efficiency of their development processes.
