Some cable boxes have an HDMI output, and if your Monitor has an HDMI input, it should work. Otherwise, like questionbag said, you'll need some sort of card to plug into your computer to either directly tune the cable signal, or to convert the output from the cable box. You can get such tuners and adapters for less than $100.
