I've had my nipple pierced, as well as tongue, tragus, nose, septum and lip. I don't know if it's obligatory where you're from, but they are very likely to use anaesthetic on you. In that case, you won't feel a thing. Where I am from, anaesthetic is very uncommon, so I had my nipple done without. The piercing process seemed to last forever and, yes, it did hurt, but you have nothing to worry about. Just think that it will be over really soon. If you're feeling dizzy after it, just request a moment to sit up and calm down before you get up so you don't faint. To be honest with you, my septum piercing hurt more. As for infections, I had it in for 3 years and only paid really good care, cleaning it daily etc. for the first month. Then I treated it normally and only rinsed it in the shower. I never got an infection. I had it removed a while ago and the scarring is not that bad, barely noticeable. Good luck!

I've had my eyebrow, ear cartilege (x4), Belly button, lip and nipple done. I had my nipple pierced about a year ago and it was painless. I barely felt the needle go through, but I know it depends on the person, the size of the nipple, the sensitivity and so on... But of all my piercings, it was the least painful. I barely felt it- like a hot knife through butter. :)
