I noticed this book along with my other two LSAT-prep purchases today looking back at age-old Amazon purchases for fun. Law school and the bar exam were several years ago for me, and I can honestly say now that I've been practicing law for a few years that this was one of the best investments I ever made. This book and its companion 10 More Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests (Lsat Series) are without question the best way to prep.
Before law school, I worked for two major test prep companies, and when I started preparing for the LSAT, I decided not to spend the thousands of dollars for a full length course. Instead, I focused on taking practice tests and going over any question I missed in intense detail to make sure I knew why I got the question wrong. Rinse and repeat. What I'd recommend is to take the first 10 tests without timing yourself, and when you go over each question, see if you can figure out for yourself why you got the question wrong. If possible, get someone else to grade the test for you so that you don't know the correct answer, and see if you can arrive at the correct answer on your second try. Then take the second test of 10 tests timed under full test conditions.
Over time, if you are being careful with your test-taking and learning from your mistakes, you'll see your score go up, and that's exactly what I saw happening as time went on. I worked through these tests and moved from a score in the 160s up into the 170s. When it came time to take the real test, it was far less stressful as I was able to tell myself it was "just another test" - after all, I had already worked through 20 on my own. I scored in the high 170s, got into a good law school, and now years later, I have a great job at a great law firm.
If you want to be an attorney, you have to beat the LSAT first, and this is hands down the best way to go about it.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2013If you need to practice for the LSAT this is a great purchase. Of course it does not have any explanations for incorrect answers (which is why I will not give it 5 stars) but it is still a good resource!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2010I'd say this book is excellent with a caveat and a couple typos:
1) It's old, and some things have changed.
The reading comprehension has changed since these tests were used, and now uses more comparative passages rather than single long passages. This creates its own challenges in interpreting two different texts, but it does mean that each individual text could be shorter. Questions are still similar.
From what I've read on forums, the logical reasoning section is also harder on newer tests, but I've also heard that the passages on newer tests are shorter. So whether you find the real test easier or harder on this section depends on your individual style of test-taking.
Logic games are, by almost all accounts, easier on newer tests than older tests.
2) This book does contain a typo in the answer sheet for the last test. Section 4 of the last test, the answers are B and C, not C and B. (8: B, 9: C). This caused me a lot of frustration until I searched online forums and found out about this.
Other than that, I think this book is great! I plan to update my review after I take the actual LSAT.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2013The book was advertized as "Very Good" condition. The cover is dog eared and worn, the spine is creased, the back cover has a deep crease, every page has notes and scribbles in pencil and and there are notes in red ink throughout the book. It is utter garbage.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2001I first read and worked through the Princeton Review LSAT Book. That was useful and one should begin their LSAT practice with a book such as that one. But then, I went through and tested myself with the real LSAT tests. I gave myself 2 minutes less than normal to insure my time was up to speed. My score went up 10 points from the first to the last test. Use the book properly. Take a test, then go over each and every answer you got wrong and those that you guessed right. Try to get a feel for the types of problems you are getting wrong. Look at your answer sheets to see if there is a place where lots of wrong answers keep appearing. Then work on those areas you are weak in. No matter what, this book is a necessity for studying for the LSAT. Dont get lazy, do all 10.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2004LSAC (Law School Admission Council) has three books in its Official LSAT Preptests series. This is the first; it was followed by "10 More Actual, Official LSAT Preptests" and more recently "10 Next Actual, Official LSAT." All three books are fine, and each contains LSATs. However, "10 Next Actual, Official (ISBN: 0942639898) is by default the preferred choice because the tests are newer, reflecting the current content of the test. This is relevant, because it seems to me that the incredibly nasty "games and "logic" sections of the current LSAT are a bit less nasty than those given in 1992-1995, when this book was produced.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2013I bought this in preparation for Law School and I'm currently in college, so the price was not too shabby for the book being used. The only discrepancy I found was that it looked like someone had answered a few questions marked in pen but this is minor and makes no difference because the answers are in the back anyway. Price was good for me and delivery was timely. I would purchase from sellers again.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2016Very helpful for test preparation. Feel it prepared me well for exam.

4.0 out of 5 stars GMATのverbalの練習にも最適
本書は本来LSAT(ロースクール向けの試験)過去問題集です。
