What's the best and most inexpensive sunscreen?

I heard alot of different stories, saying sunscreen is bad for you, causing skin cancer? And i was wondering if- Thats true? If so, whats a SAFE non oily sunblock ? I dont exactly want to tan much this summer so ,! D:

Im off on holiday next week and i need recommendations for sunscreen and aftersun, also how long does it keep for?? I need creams that will make sure i don't burn but also maintain a good tan for a long time :) thanks

I hate sunburns. But, the one thing i hate more than sunburns is sunscreen. It's gross. It feels disgusting on my skin, and I have work to do outside. The work involves sawdust and other such dirty things, and that just worsens the sunscreen on my skin...

I dont want to get darker so i bought spf 50 sunscreen but some people told me that sunblock makes you not get darker but sunscreen does???!
