Facebook I.M. not working?

I can get IM's I just cant send them back. I just got my facebook today and its the only thing I cant do I can only IM one person!!! No one elses will go through. I need help I need this problems fixed fast!!!! someone help me!! P.S I'm on a laptop does...

Ok, so when i log onto facebook my IM is fine, but in like 5 secs it stops and in the bottom right corner theres a triangle and in the triangle there is a Exclaimation mark and when i click on it nothing happens or pops up i already tried logging out...
